๐ What You Will Learn Today:
Most chiropractors tell us the same four things: "There's too much competition." "I don't have time for marketing." "I don't know what works anymore." "I'm not organized enough to keep up with it."
Good news: you don't need to be a marketing genius. You need a list of simple ideas and the willingness to try a few. Here are 15. Each one is explained in plain words, with an example you can copy.
By the end, you will know:
- 15 ways to attract new patients, grouped into 4 easy buckets
- Which ideas cost money and which ones are free
- How to pick the right 3 to start with
๐งบ The 4 Buckets
Fifteen ideas is a lot. So we sorted them into four buckets. Think of it like cleaning your room: it's easier when you sort things into piles first.
- Bucket 1 โ Get Found Online: so people searching for help can find you
- Bucket 2 โ Make a Great Offer: so people have a reason to come in NOW
- Bucket 3 โ Get Out in the Community: so your town knows your face
- Bucket 4 โ Keep the Ones You Have: because a full schedule is easier to fill than an empty one
๐ The 4 Buckets of New Patients
A healthy practice pours from all four buckets, not just one.
๐ Bucket 1: Get Found Online
Claim and Polish Your Google Business Profile
This is the free box on Google with your map pin, hours, and stars. It's the first thing people see when they search "chiropractor near me." If it's half-empty, Google shows your competitor instead.
- Add 10+ real photos: your front door, waiting room, adjustment table, you and your team
- List every service: back pain, neck pain, sciatica, sports injuries, prenatal care
- Post a short update once a week (a tip, a photo, an opening)
- Make sure your hours and phone number are correct
Run Facebook and Instagram Ads to Your Neighborhood
Facebook lets you show your ad only to people within a few miles of your office. That's perfect for a chiropractor, because nobody drives 50 miles for an adjustment.
Picture: You, smiling, next to your table.
Words: "Tired of waking up with a stiff back? Our $29 new patient exam includes a full check and your first adjustment. Only 10 spots this week."
Button: "Claim My Spot"
Collect Google Reviews Every Single Week
Reviews are the new word-of-mouth. The office with more stars and more reviews gets the call. Set a tiny goal: 3 new reviews a week. That's 150 a year!
Easiest way: right after a patient says they feel better, text them a direct link to your review page. Keep a sticky note at the front desk that says "Ask for a review!" so nobody forgets.
Post Short Phone Videos
People are scared of chiropractors until they see one being friendly and normal. A 45-second video of you explaining "why your neck cracks" does more to build trust than any ad.
- Film upright on your phone, near a window
- One tip per video. Keep it under a minute
- Post the same video to Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
๐ Bucket 2: Make a Great Offer
The New Patient Special
People are nervous about cost and about trying something new. A low-cost first visit knocks down both worries at once. Common offers: $29 exam, $49 exam + first adjustment, or free consultation.
Think about trying a new restaurant. If they have a "first meal half off" deal, you're way more likely to go. Once you're in and the food is great, you come back at full price. Same idea.
Free Posture or Spine Screenings
A free 5-minute screening is an easy "yes." Offer them at your office on a Saturday morning, or take them on the road (see Bucket 3). The screening isn't the sale. It's the handshake. Many people who get screened book a real visit.
Give Away a Helpful Guide
Write a short, simple guide: "5 Stretches to Stop Lower Back Pain at Your Desk." Give it away free on your website and Facebook in exchange for a name and email. Now you can keep in touch with people who aren't ready to book yet.
Host a Free Mini Class
Invite people to a 30-minute talk at your office: "Headaches: what's really causing them." Serve coffee. Keep it friendly, not salesy. Offer everyone who shows up a special price to book that day.
Eight people in a room who already trust you is worth more than 800 strangers scrolling past your ad.
๐๏ธ Bucket 3: Get Out in the Community
Partner With Gyms and Yoga Studios
These places are full of people who care about their bodies and sometimes overdo it. Offer the owner a free posture-check day for their members. Leave your friend cards at the front desk. Take theirs for your office. Everybody wins.
Lunch-and-Learns at Local Offices
People who sit at desks all day have sore backs and necks. Offer a free 20-minute talk on desk posture at a local company. Bring pizza. Do quick spine checks after. You'll leave with a handful of new patients and a company that invites you back.
Show Up at Local Events
Farmers markets, 5K races, school fairs, health expos. Set up a simple table, do free posture checks, and hand out your new patient special. You don't need a fancy booth. You need a smile and a sign-up sheet.
Build Relationships With Other Doctors
Family doctors, dentists, massage therapists, physical therapists, and personal trainers all meet people with pain they can't fully fix. Take a few of them to coffee. Explain exactly who you can help and how you'll report back. Doctors refer to people they trust, and trust starts with a conversation.
๐ Bucket 4: Keep the Ones You Have
Follow Up With Every New Lead in Under 5 Minutes
This is the idea most chiropractors skip, and it's the one that makes all the others work. When someone fills out your form or calls after hours, they should hear back in minutes, not days.
You can't do that by hand. Use an automatic text system that replies instantly and keeps checking in politely until they book.
Ask for Referrals (Out Loud)
Happy patients want to help you. They just forget. Make it easy: "If you know anyone else dealing with this, hand them this card. Their first visit is on us." Thank every person who sends someone, and they'll do it again.
Win Back Patients Who Drifted Away
Pull up your list of patients you haven't seen in 6 months or more. Send a short, kind text: "Hi Maria, it's Dr. Patel's office. Just checking in โ how's your back been? We'd love to see you for a tune-up." Expect a handful to book right away. These are the cheapest new appointments you'll ever get.
